How did you get the idea?

Same concept as Zlatna kniga - business to consumer catalogue exists in all more developed countries. 5 years ago, when Zlatna kniga started in Macedonia , there were 7 companies working in this industry, but all of them had business to business type of catalogues. We saw the opportunity, and offered new product on the market.

 

By conducting the market research to: 1) identify the need for this type of product, 2) determine the price of the first print edition. Later we've launched the promotional campaign “How Zlatko become most wanted person in Macedonia ” to attract advertisers even before we had our first product on the market.

 

Households didn't have habit to use this kind of product. It took us more than 3 years and significant amount of money to educate the market and increase the usage of our products.

 

Do you think there are enough role models of young people who have set up businesses in Macedonia ?

There are respectable and successful young businessmen. The general public and media should talk more about this people.

 

There is no such person, but I respect very much Mr. Mile Jovanovski, founder of Dnevnik and Tea Moderna, and current General Manager of MPM in Macedonia .

 

Don't expect anything but hard work the first 3 years. Have vision, be strong and don't give up. Have partners in the business, but choose them very carefully. For partners, choose people that you trust and know for long time.

 

I have a family that understands what I'm doing. I respect my colleagues, business partners and clients. There are few values (commitment to excellence, teamwork, integrity… ) that I believe in, and act accordingly in my personal and professional life.
